The ENCON MVC Evaporator is a good solution for desalination. The vapor compression method of desalination removes the excess salt and other minerals from water to obtain fresh water. This fresh, potable water is suitable for animal consumption, irrigation, or human consumption. Desalination is common in the Middle East, Caribbean, North Africa, China, the United States and many other places. The MVC Evaporator has standard offerings that range in capacity from 75-1200 gallons/hour. The vapor compression evaporator system operates on electricity and compressed air at a typical operating cost of $0.01-$0.02 per gallon of distilled water. Materials of construction include 316 Stainless Steel and Super Stainless alloys for more corrosive waste streams.

Since the ENCON MVC Evaporator is highly automated and requires minimum manpower, it makes an ideal desalination system.
