Steam Heated System Flow Diagram

When activated, the steam inlet valve will open and allow steam to enter the plate coil heat exchanger located inside the wastewater evaporator tank. The steam will condense as heat is transferred to the wastewater that surrounds the heat exchanger. The condensed steam will pass through the steam trap and go to either a condensate return pump or to gravity discharge. The hot water vapor created inside the evaporator tank is drawn through the mist eliminator, up the stack, and is exhausted outside the building.
