JANUARY 20, 2014, HOOKSETT, NEW HAMPSHIRE - ENCON Evaporators, a leader in low energy cost wastewater solutions, is proud to debut the Generation 3 MVC Evaporator. The ENCON MVC Evaporator uses Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) Technology to drastically reduce costs associated with wastewater disposal. The ENCON MVC Evaporator captures and reuses the latent heat normally lost in traditional evaporation equipment. This “energy-recovery” process reduces the ENCON MVC operating costs by 85% to 95% over thermal evaporation, resulting in a typical operating cost of $0.01 - $0.02 per gallon of distilled water (based on $0.10 per KWh).

Across virtually every industry, environmental regulations governing the discharge of industrial wastewater are becoming more stringent. The ENCON MVC Evaporator converts your industrial or process wastewater into clean distilled water by removing oils, soaps, solids, and literally hundreds of other contaminants. The resulting clean water can most often be reused in your processes, or safely dumped to the sewer.

Available in standard capacities ranging from 40 gal/hr up to 4,000 gal/hr, the MVC Evaporator can simultaneously process multiple waste streams and yield a distilled water product at a fraction of the cost of other disposal methods.  In addition to being used as a stand-alone wastewater minimization solution, the ENCON MVC evaporator can also be used as the centerpiece of a ZLD system. When used in conjunction with a ENCON crystallizer, it can deliver residue with whatever moisture content is required, from a slurry to a dry state.

The standard ENCON MVC Evaporator is operated under  pressure to deliver maximum  energy efficiency and  cost savings. Vacuum systems are also available for temperature sensitive applications. Whether used as a stand-alone solution or as a part of a multi step wastewater treatment system, the ENCON MVC Evaporator / Crystallizer has simplified the process of wastewater management by eliminating the need for complex and fragile membrane or chemical treatment systems. By removing those time consuming and difficult to maintain processes, the ENCON MVC Evaporator also reduces the amount of manpower required. There are no sludge pits to empty and no chemicals to mix.
