Distillation Gas/Propane Heated System Flow DiagramWhen activated, the burner(s) will fire into the cylindrical combustion chamber of the heat exchanger. The hot gases travel past the vertical tubes inside the heat exchanger until they reach the insulated chimney outside the evaporator tank. Once in the chimney, the flue gases are combined with the ambient air drawn in by the exhaust blower. This preheated air is drawn across the surface of the boiling water and along with the water vapor is drawn through the mist eliminator, up the stack, and is exhausted outside the building.
