OPPORTUNITY:

ENCON Evaporators is a manufacturer of wastewater evaporation systems for industrial and commercial applications based in Hooksett, NH.  We offer an excellent opportunity for a talented and proven technical professional to provide Service and Support to our customers as well as completing quality assurance testing on our systems before shipment.  A majority of the service/support work is done in house by communicating through phone, email, Skype etc..  As much as 10 - 20% travel may be required.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

  • B.S. in Electrical, Controls, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering are strongly preferred.
  • 3-7  years of service and support for large scale capital equipment is preferred.
  • Excellent written and communications skills with a habit of strong documentation are required.
  • Hands on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers and HMI’s are strongly preferred.
  • Significant direct experience with pumps, motors, VFD’s , control devices, plumbing is a strong plus.  Experience reading electrical schematics is required.
  • Experience with Material Resource Planning (MRP) software is a plus.

SKILLS:

A proven track record with the following are strongly preferred:

  • A habit of creating documents to facilitate the service and support effort as well a habit of working with Engineering on continual improvement to O&M manuals to ensure latest changes and updates are incorporated for customer benefit.
  • An ability to talk the customer through installation and startup requirements over the phone is required.
  • An ability to logically troubleshoot technical issues over the phone is required. This requires a habit of referring to technical documentation as well as exceptional questioning skills.
  • An ability to logically troubleshoot technical issues with direct and remote access to equipment is required.
  • A habit of concluding the startup or troubleshooting process by confirming satisfaction with the customer that includes addressing any open questions or concerns.
  • A habit of concisely summarizing service conversations or customer visits in writing.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

  • setting up new customers
  • generating quotes for Service department
  • negotiating terms on new spare parts orders
  • processing spare parts orders
  • updating spare parts lists
  • monitoring and responding to Service e-mail messages
  • preparing customer return materials paperwork and processing various returned parts
  • assisting the Service department by sending out installation packages, welcome packages, etc.
  • managing the MRP database (including entering new part numbers, creating and modifying BOM details, renaming parts to match historical convention patterns, etc.) as well as updating various other part number databases
  • leading the Engineering change order process (outlining proposed changes, listing affected parts, seeking approvals for changes, etc.)
  • editing project component lists (including creating vendor cut sheets, archiving quotes and manuals, etc.)
  • printing drawing packages for the Production floor
  • creating, editing and updating operation manuals (including enabling search functionality, etc.)
  • revising other existing documents (including QC checklists, procedure documents, etc.)
  • summarizing sales leads and outcomes
  • confirming the accuracy of sales literature (reviewing overall content, updating pricing, etc.)
  • working on special projects

BACKGROUND/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree in Business Administration is preferred; however, candidates with higher and lesser degrees but relevant work experience will be seriously considered.
  • Candidates must have advanced skills in Adobe as well as the Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly Microsoft Word).
  • Candidates must have excellent communication and phone skills.
  • Candidates must be professional when dealing with various internal and external customers.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing company is preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Material Resource Planning (MRP) software is preferred.
  • Ability to handle a fast paced environment with flexibility to handle a wide range of administrative tasks and special projects is a must.
  • Experience and comfort interacting with Sales, Engineering, and Production personnel is a must.
  • A habit of being detail oriented, thorough, and timely with work completion is a must.
